Offerings

Kathy offers a variety of yoga, meditation and mindful eating classes that cater to all levels. Classes are offered at the Carlsbad Springs Community Centre, as well as some privately in Kathy’s home or yours. Please contact Kathy for more information on her offerings, pricing and availability.

All Levels Hatha Yoga

Tuesdays from 7:00 to 8:15 PM – Carlsbad Springs Community Centre

Just as it sounds, this class is designed to suit a broad range of abilities and welcomes yogis at any stage of their journey. With an emphasis on alignment, options are offered to accommodate everyone’s individual needs. Classes include movement, stretching, breath work (Pranayama) and meditation. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or an experienced yogi, this class is a great way to strengthen and tone your body and cultivate a sense of calm and peace.  This class is also offered online via Zoom.

Gentle Yoga

Wednesdays from 10:00 to 11:00 AM – Carlsbad Springs Community Centre

This class combines traditional yoga postures and exercises from a variety of disciplines, led with the gentlest intention. If you would like to reduce stress, increase your energy and sense of well being, as well as simply feel better all over, this class is for you! Perfect for those who are either new to yoga, are overcoming injury, or for the more experienced participant who prefers a more relaxed practice. All postures can be done from a yoga mat or a chair. This class is offered in person only.

Yoga for Beginners

So you’ve heard about the benefits of yoga more times than you can count, and your curiosity has peaked. All too often, I hear people say they’d love to try yoga, but they’re just not sure they can do it. Or, they don’t want to be the only new person in the group. This is your chance to dip your toes into yoga along with other beginners just like you, with expert instruction to guide you. These classes are offered several times a year on a six-week session basis. Contact Kathy to get on the list for the next session. Space is limited to ensure optimal attention for each participant. 

Private Yoga Classes

Is there a particular aspect of your yoga or meditation that you would like to explore on a deeper level? Private 30, 60 or 90-minute yoga classes can be booked in my home or yours. Please contact Kathy for more information.

Mindfulness Meditation Classes

Mindfulness meditation is a simple practice that helps cultivate awareness through paying attention on purpose in the present moment, non-judgmentally. Benefits include decreased stress, improved sleep, emotional regulation, greater attention, more compassion for self and others and improved mental health. These classes are offered throughout the year, with themes such as Introduction to Mindfulness Meditation and Cultivating Compassion Through Mindfulness Meditation. Meditation Classes

Silence really is golden. Sadly, our lives rarely allow for times of quiet reflection, contemplation and restoration. Our health and well-being suffer as a result.
