Just as it sounds, this class is designed to suit a broad range of abilities and experience. With an emphasis on alignment, options are offered to accommodate everyone’s individual needs. Classes include, movement, stretching, breath work (Pranayama) and meditation. Whether you’re brand new to yoga, or experienced this class is a great way to strengthen and tone your body, while deepening your connection to self. 

Gentle Yoga

Gentle Yoga combines traditional yoga postures and exercises from a variety of disciplines, led with the gentlest intention. If you would like to reduce stress, increase your energy and sense of well being, as well as simply feel better all over, this class is for you. Perfect for those who are either new to yoga, are overcoming injury, or for the more experienced participant, who prefers a more relaxed practice.

So you’ve heard about the benefits of yoga more times than you can count and you’re curiosity has peaked. All too often I hear people say they’d love to try Yoga but they’re just not sure they can do it. Or, they don’t want to be the only new person in the group. This is your chance to dip your toes into Yoga along with other beginners just like you with expert instruction to guide you. Yoga Lifestyle Coaching is a healing modality for clients seeking ways to optimize health and well being. This therapeutic approach to Yoga is known to ease stress associated with particular life events or for those simply feeling overwhelmed by the pressures of day-to-day modern life. Specific Yoga skills can also be learned and integrated to help you define your goals and reach them.  Sessions may include movement, chanting, visualization, meditation and/or discussion depending on the individuals needs.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. “Rei” means universal higher knowledge or spiritual consciousness. “Ki” means the same as Chi in Chinese, or Prana in Sanskrit, which is life force energy. Reiki is a healing modality using the universal life force energy by way of gentle touch from the practitioner. Known to relieve stress and heal mental and physical dis-ease. 

Thai Yoga Massage

The roots of this artful practice are mindfulness, compassion, grace and presence Thai massage is received fully clothed for comfort and to allow movement. The massage is performed on the floor on a large comfortable mat where the receiver is moved passively through a series of stretches in different positions, not unlike yoga poses. The practitioner will use palms, fingers, thumbs, elbows and even feet and knees to apply pressure to congested areas to increase circulation and release muscle tension. Passive stretching is performed to all the joints, especially those areas where muscles are short or over-active. Depending on the time allowed, the depth of treatment will vary. Because of a belief that the body works as a whole, it is considered important to address each area to make sure the body is balanced and that a deep state of relaxation has been achieved.
